Air Temp: 5 to 15 degrees
Wind Shield: -something very brutal
Water temp: 43 degrees
I headed to the river with the intentions of fishing my new BB 175 Slide Swimmer, not knowing how a glide bait would perform in river current my expectations were not to high. Also the cold temps. and brutal wind shields have told me from past experience that the smallies can get very negative. To my surprise the BB 175 Slide Swimmer worked unbelievable great in river currents. From very shallow rocks to fast moving current in 5 to 8 f.o.w. I landed 18 smallies in just a few hours. Fish ranged from 2 1/2lbs to 4lbs. Great way to break in a new bait! Notice the second picture and how black it is, it seems the black smallies get bigger and fight harder.
